802.11g Wireless
PCMCIA Card |
|
|
|
|
The WL-3563 is an IEEE 802.11g Wireless PCMCIA
card that can operate in either Ad-Hoc mode (Point
to Point/Point to Multipoint without an Access Point)
or Infrastructure mode (Point to Point/Point to
Multipoint with an Access Point).IEEE 802.11g uses
2.4GHz frequency band that is the same with IEEE
802.11b, but provides high-speed transfer rate up
to 54Mbps that is almost 5 times throughput rate
than
802.11b. WL-3563 is backward compatible as well
and interoperable with IEEE 802.11b compliant
wireless devices. This dual-standard support enhances
much more flexibility of deployment and use.
The WL-3563 supports both 64/128-bit WEP (Wired
Equivalent Privacy) for securing wireless network
connections. The driver and utility support most
popular operating systems: Windows
98SE/Me/2000/XP/Server 2003. With advanced features
and high performance capability, the WL-3563
is an excellent choice for constructing a wide range
of wireless solutions. |

|
[Product
Application] |
WL-3563 offers a fast, reliable, and cost-effective
solution for wireless client access to the applications
of network as follows: |
|
Remote access to corporate
network information
E-mail, file transfer and terminal emulation. |
|
Difficult-to-wire environments
Historical or old buildings, asbestos installations,
and open areas where wiring is difficult to be employed |
|
Frequently changing environments
Retailers, manufacturers and banks that frequently
rearrange the workplace and change locations. |
|
Temporary LANs for special
projects or peak time
Trade shows, sports events, exhibitions and construction
sites that are required temporary setup for a
short period. Retailers, airline and shipping companies
need additional workstations for a peak period.
Auditors who organize workgroups at customer sites. |
|
SOHO (Small Office and Home
Office) users
SOHO users who require quick and easy installation
of a small computer network. |
|
