is not only a wireless access point but also a
wireless NAT router as well as Ethernet adapter.
With these three most commonly used operating
modes, WAP-4050 provides greater flexibility for
a mobile user in various environments. Besides,
there
is an external dipswitch used for mode selection.
There is no need to operate through complicated
procedures while changing operation modes. Moreover,
WAP-4050 is a driver free and plug ¢®¡Ín play
device which helps you set up a wireless environment
in a minute.
The WAP-4050 also comes with a travel bag which
helps travelers bring the WAP-4050, power adapter
along with a network cable altogether while wandering
around. This offers incredible enhancement on
your Centrino Notebook. |

[Product
Application] |
AP mode
Just connect the WAP-4050 to the Ethernet
RJ-45 port on the wall, the wireless clients are
linked with your LAN immediately. When traveling
to the hotel, the guest room could prepare a well
connected Ethernet port (over VDSL) for you. For
not being limited in one place, connect the WAP-4050
to the Ethernet port and you can get connected everywhere
in the guest room freely. |
|
|
|
AP/ROUTER mode
Use this mode to share the Internet connection
to multiple wireless clients. While you stay at
home, the
WAP-4050 can easily act as an AP/Router that operates
as an AP to be accessed anywhere and
provides the NAT router features including natural
firewall as well as DoS firewall protection to secure
your PC from being attacked by the Internet hacker. |
|
|
|
CLIENT mod
You can convert an Ethernet-ready device
into a wireless device by attaching a WAP-4050 in
client
mode to it. Whether it is a desktop PC, notebook,
or printer, WAP-4050 is the best solution. Though
Centrino provides you an easy way to get connected
wirelessly, it only offers 11Mbps. With support
for
11g 54Mbps capability, the WAP-4050 can quickly
upgrade your notebook from 11Mbps to 54Mbps
without any additional re-configuration. |
